Matthew D. Atherton is a reading specialist who teaches at Willowcreek Middle School in Portage, IN. Mr. Atherton has 11 years of teaching experience in both urban and rural school districts. Mr. Atherton has provided professional development for the Portage Township School District and was a presenter at the 2017 eVillage Learning Conference. In addition, Mr. Atherton was a presenter at the 2003 Indiana Teachers of Writing and was the recipient of the 2016 Ken Allen Teacher of Excellence Award.
