We teach in the era of the connected educator. Having a web presence is more critical than ever. From your tweets to your YouTube channel to your PLN, your story is being told online for the whole world to see. The question is, who's telling it? A web site can go a long way in helping define your web presence.
But who has the time? Between lesson planning, Twitter chats, reading blogs, and all of the other things connected educators do on a daily basis, the prospect of creating a web site just seems like an awfully big log to be adding to the fire. The new Google Sites makes web site creation easier (and quicker) than ever. Be up and running in seconds. Easily add pages, links, content, and other resources. Google Sites gives you the tools to make beautiful and useful web sites in no time at all. If you teach in a GSuite for EDU district or school, your students can also learn to create sites for projects, presentations, and other assignments. While this session will focus on Google Sites, much of what will be covered can also be created with other web site creation tools.
Please come to this session with a laptop, Chromebook, or tablet. To create a Google Site you will need a Gmail/Google account.
